On Thursday 7th July, 16 of us in 8 cars set off to The Circuit Des 24 Heures Les Mans France, for the Le Mans Classic. On Friday morning I went for a walk seeing: Great crested grebe, Grey heron, Mallard, Buzzard, Kestrel, Moorhen, Lapwing, Black-headed gull, Woodpigeon, Collared dove, Swift, Green woodpecker, Skylark, Swallow, Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Black redstart, Stonechat, Blackbird, Song thrush, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Long-tailed tit, Great tit, Magpie, Carrion crow, Starling, House sparrow, Chaffinch, Serin, Greenfinch & Goldfinch.

Monday 25th July, as working in Havant, had a lunchtime walk around Farlington marshes, seeing:Cormorant, Little egret, Mute swan, Canada goose, Barnacle goose, Shelduck, Mallard, Buzzard, Moorhen, Coot, Oystercatcher, Ringed plover, Dunlin, Lapwing, Black-tailed godwit, Curlew, Redshank, Greenshank, Mediterranean gull, Black-headed gull, Lesser black-backed gull, Woodpigeon, Swift, Swallow, Meadow pipit, Reed warbler, Whitethroat, Magpie, Carrion crow, Starling, Greenfinch, Golfinch & Linnet.
Wednesday 27th July back in Havant so went to Sandy point Hayling island for my lunchtime walk, the tide was out and just of shore was a small island which had roosting gulls and terns, and an adult
GANNET. On the island Sanderling, Mediterranean gull, Black-headed gull, Common gull, Herring gull, Great black-backed gull, Common tern & Sandwich tern. I then walked round to the sailing club to view the harbour seeing: Cormorant, Mute swan, Oystercatcher, Dunlin, Curlew, LITTLE TERN, Woodpigeon, Swallow, Carrion crow, House sparrow, Greenfinch, Golfinch & Linnet.
Thursday 28th July, working in Poole so went to Lytchett fields for todays walk seeing:Little egret, Canada goose, Shelduck, Teal, Mallard, Moorhen, Lapwing, Dunlin, Snipe, Black-tailed godwit, Redshank, Greenshank, Green sandpiper, Common sandpiper, Black-headed gull, Woodpigeon, Swallow, House martin, Pied wagtail, Wren, Robin, Song thrush, Carrion crow, Starling, Golfinch.
Friday 29th July and again back in Havant so went down Southmoor lane (Budd's farm) for lunchtime seeing:Little grebe, Little egret, Grey heron, Mute swan, Canada goose, Gadwall, Teal, Mallard, Tufted duck, Moorhen, Coot, Oystercatcher, Bar-tailed godwit, WHIMBREL, Curlew, Redshank, Black-headed gull, Herring gull, Woodpigeon, Swift, Swallow, Pied wagtail, Magpie, Carrion crow, Starling, Greenfinch, Golfinch & Linnet.
