Testwood Lakes Hampshire

26th July 2013, after working in Bournemouth I went to Testwood lakes for the reported Great White Egret. It was my first visit here and found another birder also looking for the GWE, and as we walked towards the scrapes, using the site leaflet, I saw the GWE in flight coming away from the scrapes, it flew past us and we followed it until it was lost to sight. The other birder left to go home I stayed to have a look around, on the scrapes were Little Ringed Plover, Green Sandpiper and Lapwing, on my way to the hides had great views of a Spotted Flycatcher in a dead tree.
