An evening at Yateley Common Hampshire

18th June 2013, after working in Bournemouth I went home got changed and loaded up the dogs, for an evening of birding on Yateley Common. I added Woodcock (two birds seen together) and Nightjar, good numbers around, also got my best ever views of this bird as I found one roosting in a pine tree. As the sun went down the mosquitoes came out and I forgot to bring my insect repellent, so I hung a piece or fern from each pocket on my shorts and this worked keeping then away from my legs.
