No duck and No owl

Wednesday 3rd September I went to Virginia Water to look for Mandarin duck, sadly none to be found. Did see the following: Great crested grebe, Cormorant, Grey heron, Canada goose, Egyptian goose, Mallard, Tufted duck, Buzzard, Moorhen, Coot, Black-headed gull, Woodpigeon, Ring-necked parakeet. Kingfisher, Robin, Blackbird, Nuthatch, Magpie, Jackdaw & Carrion crow.

I then went onto Moor Green Lakes hoping to see a Little owl, sadly no Little owl seen, spent a couple of hours watching over the New workings, seeing the following: Little grebe, Great crested grebe, Cormorant, Grey heron, Mute swan, Greylag goose, Canada goose, Teal, Mallard, Tufted duck, Red kite, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Kestrel, Hobby, Moorhen, Coot, Lapwing, Green sandpiper, Common sandpiper, Black-headed gull, Lesser black-backed gull, Herring gull, Common tern, Stock dove, Woodpigeon, Green woodpecker, Swallow, Blue tit, Jay, Raven & Goldfinch. Good to watch the Red kites and Buzzards feeding over the hay field as it was being cut.
