Friday 5th September and after working in Kinson library I made the short drive to Longham lakes for a quick look at lunchtime. I parked up down High Mead Lane next to the horse field. Above on the pylon were Starling, and in with the horses Pied wagtail, Yellow wagtail, WHITE WAGTAIL, Magpie, Jackdaw & Carrion crow. On to the first lake and on here were Great crested grebe, Grey heron, Mute swan, Tufted duck, Coot, Black-headed gull and feeding over a small flock of Sand martin. Adding Little grebe and Herring gull on the 2nd larger lake. In the hedgerow and meadows were Kestel, Lapwing, Woodpigeon, Green Woodpecker, Robin, Great tit, Jay, Rook, Goldfinch and finally Cormorants on a pylon.
