Christmas Eve and in the morning I was working in Havant, and before work I went to Eastleigh sewage works for the Yellow-browed warbler as this would be another new bird for me. No other birders around so I had a walk around, I failed to find the warbler & headed of to work, but as the site closed at midday, I made my way back to Eastleigh & this time there were some other birders watching some bushes in which they had seen the warbler. After a little wait the YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER came into view and we was able to watch it for a while, it also called which was nice. Other birds seen Cormorant, Mute swan, Mallard, Moorhen, Black-headed gull, Herring gull, Feral pigeon, Woodpigeon, Pied wagtail, Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Song thrush, Cetti's warbler, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Long-tailed tit, Blue tit, Great tit, Magpie, Jackdaw, Carrion crow, Raven & Starling.

So on the last day of the  year, I find myself working down in Bournemouth, so I spent lunchtime and early afternoon walking around Studland Heath/Beaches. I parked up at Sandbanks and got the ferry across, we were joined by a Pied Wagtail on the ferry. Once on the beach I soon had a Shag close in, then further up with the gulls was a Mediterranean gull, and on the shore line a large Jellyfish, there were more of these later. Giving close views were 33 SANDERLING, one was colour ringed. I walked around to view Old Harry, then I cut across to Jerry's point to view the harbour, had Little egret, Wigeon, Red-breasted merganser, one Goldeneye, two Great northern divers. On the return crossing had two Sandwich terns fishing the harbour entrance. Other birds seen, Great crested grebe, Dark-bellied brent goose, Oystercatcher Black-headed gull, Common gull, Herring gull, Great black-backed gull, Woodpigeon, Robin & Carrion crow.
