Sightings for April 2020

Saturday 4th April and while at Rudge had my first SWALLOW of the year. Then an evening dog walk in Westbury.

Sunday 5th April another dog walk in Westbury.

TOTAL FOR YEAR = 98 (Wiltshire year list = 52)

Tuesday 7th April stopped at Chitterne Down on my way home from work, where I added CORN BUNTING, to both lists.

Friday 10th April (Good Friday) an evening walk with the dogs up near the Westbury White Horse, where I added: PEREGRINE & RING OUZEL

Saturday 11th April, another evening dog walk in Westbury, no new species added.

Tuesday 14th April, back working in Northfleet, so A nice lunch time walk around Swanscombe marshes, adding three warblers: REED WARBLER, WHITETHROAT & BLACKCAP

Wednesday 22nd April, early morning dog walk, Westbury, before going to work.

Thursday 23rd April, another early morning dog walk and had a nice singing LESSER WHITETHROAT

Tuesday 28th April, on my way home I had a little look around the Warminster saddle club and added, GREY WAGTAIL

Sightings for March 2020

Tuesday 3rd March Stopped for a little while, as I made my way to work this morning, to watch this Barn Owl, having a successful hunt, near Shrewton Wiltshire.

Sunday 8th March, and a walk with the dogs at Westbury, seeing 18 species.

Monday 9th March, another stop off on my way to work, this time to see the WHITE STORK at Durrington, Wiltshire.

Sunday 15th March, and while at Rudge Somerset I had a RED KITE.

TOTAL FOR YEAR = 97

Thursday 19th March, at work and had a walk around Crete hall road and the Northfleet mill site Kent, where I noted the following: Feral pigeon, Woodpigeon, Collared dove, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Chiffchaff, Long-tailed tit, Blue tit, Magpie, Jackdaw, Carrion crow, Starling, Greenfinch & Goldfinch.

Friday 27th March, and a lunchtime walk around Swanscombe marshes Kent, 35 species seen, but none for the year list.
